Veloi Pty Ltd ("Veloi", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Veloi application and website (collectively, the "Service").

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address (via Google Sign-In)
  • Name (as provided by Google)
  • Profile information you provide (birth year, FTP, max heart rate)

Activity Data from Strava

When you connect your Strava account, we access and store:

  • Activity summaries (date, duration, distance, elevation)
  • Power and heart rate data (where available)
  • Activity type and name
  • Calculated metrics (TSS, training load, zone distribution)

We do not access or store:

  • GPS coordinates or route data
  • Your Strava social data (followers, kudos, comments)
  • Photos or media attached to activities

Conversation Data

When you chat with your AI coach, we store your conversation history to:

  • Provide continuity across sessions
  • Allow the coach to reference previous discussions
  • Improve the coaching experience over time

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service:

  • Device type and operating system
  • App version
  • Feature usage patterns
  • Error logs and crash reports

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide personalized coaching based on your training history
  • Calculate fitness metrics (CTL, ATL, TSB, power zones)
  • Generate insights about your training patterns
  • Send workout reminders and notifications (with your permission)
  • Improve and develop the Service
  • Respond to your support requests

AI Processing

Veloi uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized coaching. When you interact with the coach:

  • Your questions and relevant training data are sent to our AI service providers
  • Responses are generated based on your specific context
  • Conversations may be used to improve Veloi (anonymized and aggregated)

Your data is never used to train AI models. We have opted out of any training data programs with our AI providers. Your conversations and training data remain private and are used solely to provide you with coaching responses.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Strava: To authenticate and sync your activities (governed by Strava's privacy policy)
  • Google: For authentication (governed by Google's privacy policy)
  • AI service providers: To process coaching requests (no personal identifiers shared, data not used for model training)
  • Service providers: For hosting, analytics, and error tracking (Vercel, Sentry)

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • OAuth tokens encrypted at rest
  • Database hosted on secure, managed infrastructure
  • Access controls and authentication for all systems

Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

  • Account data: Until you delete your account
  • Activity data: Until you disconnect Strava or delete your account
  • Conversation history: Until you delete conversations or your account
  • Usage logs: 90 days

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your data
  • Correction: Update your profile information at any time
  • Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data (see how to delete your account)
  • Disconnect: Revoke Strava access at any time
  • Export: Request your data in a portable format

Strava Integration

Veloi is a third-party application that uses the Strava API. By connecting your Strava account:

  • You authorize Veloi to access your activity data
  • You can revoke access at any time in your Strava settings
  • Veloi complies with Strava's API Agreement

Children's Privacy

Veloi is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

International Users

Veloi is operated from Australia. If you access the Service from outside Australia, your information may be transferred to and processed in Australia and other countries where our service providers operate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
